Concrete and Wood Chair | DIY
I made a DIY Outdoor Lounge Chair out of concrete and wood stained with Cabot Stains. This project is sponsored by Cabot and you can learn more about their stains here: bit.ly/4dQDGTy
I used white concrete made by mixing white Portland cement and washed sand. I used old vinyl flooring for the concrete forms. This is a pretty easy but heavy way to make long lasting concrete outdoor furniture.

DIY Korean BBQ Table
Переглядів 189 тис.8 місяців тому
I made a DIY wood fired Korean BBQ table that uses a Solo Stove so that no propane or gas is required. The concrete table is made from Quikrete 5000 Concrete mix. I used about 12 of the 50lbs bags. I used 1/2" rebar but wire mesh should also work if you don't have tools to cut steel. The concrete pieces weigh about 140-160 lbs each but I think I will make the next version of the concert table a...
Using Rocks to make a Bench
Переглядів 731 тис.8 місяців тому
I cut rocks and used them to make a bench. I bought a couple of rocks for about $8 each and the cut one side of the rocks to make them flat. I used an angle grinder with a diamond blade meant for tile and granite. I had a leftover piece of a 6by12 beam from the construction of my new house. These beams are 5-1/2" by 11-1/4" in the cross section. I carved the wood with a saw and machete at first...

DIY Bench $30 in materials
Переглядів 73 тис.10 місяців тому
I bought a Fir 4x8 from Home Depot and carved it into a bench with an angle grinder. This DIY bench took me about 6 hours of labor and only required a few basic power tools. A 4x8 is 3-1/2" inches by 7-1/4" inches and this one was 8 feet long. These are common at west coast home depots but I rarely saw them on the east coast when I was in Boston. They should be available at any lumber yard that...

So, how has the pine wood held up?
How many 2 x 6's is required to build the chair?
damn, I love so much your endings!
Cool. But I thought the block dimensions were 1x1x1 meter. Man, that would be a lot of concrete!
The coffee stand at the end was soooooooo beautiful it got me almost tears to my eyes from the stunningness
Thanks for sharing your learnings so that some of us can avoid the same mistakes. The two bucket tip is ace.
Bethesda could learn a thing or two by watch Your Videos, No Body likes rusty metal. 😁
It looks fantastic, but can you please provide an update on how well it has stood the test of time (or the weight of a large adult) with those pocket holes supporting the person in it?
Hi, I really enjoyed it! Can you tell me where you get pigments now? it appears the Limestrong site is down. TIA!
Hey Ben! I am looking to start a project very similar to this, soon. Looking back on this old project of yours, is there anything you would change in your build process? I appreciate you!
I like it! I live in Long Beach and planning to get property in 29 palms and looking for every way to make one of these hot tub/pool stock tank and I like the idea of 2x4 glassed in frames with black painter copper recirculating lines to heat for cheap. Also if you have solar, immersion heaters. I agree though these metal tanks need insulation especially on the lid. Your mat and under using sand to reduce the pressure and possible puncture points was 100% spot on, also if you use a product like pond shield to prevent corrosion you dont want any metal flexing and stressing that coating. If you are in a desert, sand is an abundant resource, I wonder what the performance on one of these tanks would be if you painted the outside then surrounded it with sand almost to the top if it would act as a sand battery. Thanks for the share +1
This video has a better tutorial for making cushion covers than I've seen in videos solely dedicated to the topic. Very good stuff, thank you!
excellent video
what filtration system do you use?
Everything is wrong with this video, starting with bare feet😂
Why not just mix it in the trashcan? Could it not handle the weight?
Nice work, really loved it.
Subscribed! Building a offgrid cabin and this will go nice in the garden
I lost me at having to hack at the wood to get it out of the bucket piece.
Круто
Nice❤
💓 Vogue
That’s awesome
Зачем было заливать такую плиту бетона, если платформу прикрепили к шпилькам через одну стенку тонкого металлопрофиля !?
Wow, i love it. I think i need an angle grinder finally 😅
I LIKE TURTLES
nice work
Good job
It's definitly a bend, this just work well in a small table or something like that, it seems pretty fragile and do not look like able to endure weith at all. However its is cool and gave ideas for other kinds of projects.
This is a super brilliant solution. Thank you for sharing! How well does this hold up over the long time? I have a room with almost the exact same floor. I've currently got my gym set up in there, so there is a 6x6' space that has about 750-800 pounds sitting on it. Will that concrete hold up to that weight? Could this also be a a good option as a leveler if I decide to put down luxury vinyl plank over it?
Imagination and artistic engineering meets minimalism. Nice work Ben, always appreciate your content! A material I’ve noticed that you haven’t used; that a lot of times you can get for nothing is pool table slate. Cuts super easy with cement blade on a circular saw and has this beautiful look/feel after a light polish. Made my patio table out of the slate and tamarack lumber.
If you install hinges instead of glueing the sides, you may also have a bed sofa with no extra work (4 hinges).
You should get away from calling the frame, scaffolding. It is not scaffolding. You can use the words, form work or shuttering. These are two proper terms used to frame something in concrete. Scaffolding usually refers to something on the outside of a building, framed from wood or metal to help workers install, clean or build a structure.
"american made" has no value to me it hasnt meant what it used to mean for decades
I love using sea glass in my aquarium instead of gravel. It looks amazing when lit by the aquarium lights
Thank you for share
Great job i like it 👌 ❤
Идея супер, но матрас разве не будет соскальзовать?
Way dry
i like those corner jigs. wow man, you are really something else. outstanding. i was just looking for a video on how to add lead to a wooden handle lol
saludos desde mexico no rompas la cubeta ponle agua caliente y sale facilmente
If you seat for 1 hr on this chair then you will know what will happen to your stomach , over rated design 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢
"Concrete-coated table". Misleading. Note; this is NOT a concrete table.
Great build! PS - lock washers are a myth. They don’t do anything.
I might try to make one for my kid who is only a meter tall…which might end up light enough for me to move.
I’d rather make a traditional frame with nice pine or oak
This is very long winded
